Helps it connect with 3,000 merchants & 150 regional brands in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, May 11, 2016: With a mission to connect directly with merchants and enhance engagement, ShopClues, India’s first and largest managed marketplace, launched its ‘Buttermilk Campaign’ in Coimbatore. As a part of its ongoing initiatives to increase its merchant base and help small sellers across India to discover the benefits of selling through ShopClues, the marketplace adopted this innovative and first-of-its-kind unique initiative.  With a tagline “Vaanga Pazhagalam, pazhagi perugalam” that translates to “Come, get acquainted and grow with us”, ShopClues successfully connected with 3,000 merchants and over 150 regional and upcoming brands while discussing business with them over a cool, refreshing glass of buttermilk.

ShopClues partnered with an event management company for the ‘Buttermilk Campaign’. It hired a cycle rickshaw which was branded with the company logo.  Promoters of ShopClues went around the popular market areas with buttermilk in branded cups. These were distributed to merchants to garner their interest and to hold their attention in the scorching heat. With a rejuvenating glass of buttermilk in their hands, sellers were more inclined to understand the potential of tying up with ShopClues.

Buoyed by the success of this campaign, ShopClues is further planning similar merchant initiatives on the streets of Chennai and other cities in the state. It expects to onboard at least 5,000 additional merchants onto its platform in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.
