Body

With dimensions of 370 x 251 x 217 mm and weighing 5.7 kg without the cartridge, this Canon Laser Shot wears a smart compact look. The single tone printer body has a line-up of controls on the right bezel that border the curved top lid. The power socket is placed on the left side of the rear of the printer. Right above the power socket, you will find the Main power switch. The USB 2.0 connection socket is located inside a small door on the right flank of the LBP2900B printer. Once the USB cable is connected, the door can be closed.

The top curved lid opens out into the Output tray with a capacity of up to 100 sheets. The Input tray opens down in the front of the Canon Laser Shot printer. This tray is split into two sections - a high capacity loader with a rear extendable paper guide and a holding capacity of up to 150 sheets, and a Manual feed tray which can be used to feed single sheet or envelope at a time. Directly below the Output tray, you will find a cover with a groove. Grasp this groove and open the cover to find the cartridge bay below. The cartridge fits neatly into the bay once the protrusions of the cartridge are aligned with the guides in the bay. The cartridge must be installed after the Canon printer is connected to a power outlet and switched on.

CAPT or Canon Advanced Printing Technology 2.1 allows this printer to process data faster and deliver crisp prints with the need for enhanced memory. The Canon Laser Shot LBP2900B can print A4 size sheets at the rate of up to 12 ppm. With an enhanced resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, the Automatic Image Refinement Technology allows for smoothing of up to 2400 x 600 dpi resolution thus giving you high quality printouts in seconds. The First Print Out Time (FPOT) of this Canon printer is 9.3 seconds. With warm up time of 10 seconds from power on and zero seconds from standby mode, you can print those critical documents quickly. The Canon LBP2900B uses a Canon Cartridge 303 which can print up to 2000 A4 sized pages.
