These days in this polluted environment every one should have 4-5 drops of Shri Tulsi every day. पाँच तरह की तुलसी के पौधों का सत् पारम्परिक भारतीय चिकित्सा प्रणाली में तुलसी सर्वरोग नाशक के रूप में मानी जाती है। होली बेसिल का हिन्दी में नाम तुलसी है जिसका मतलब है ‘‘अतुलनीय’’। ऐसी कोई भी जड़ी-बूटी नहीं है जो तुलसी की तरह स्वास्थ्य लाभ देती हो। तुलसी जड़ी-बूटियों की रानी मानी जाती है और यह पौष्टिक गुणों से भरपूर है। तुलसी विटामिन्स एवं मिनरल्स से युक्त है जैसेः- विटामिन ए, बीटाकेरोटीन, पोटैशियम, आइरन, काॅपर, मैगनीज और मैग्नीशियम। तुलसी दिल के लिए बेहतरीन टानिक के रूप में कार्य करती है। इसके अपने अंतहीन चमत्कारी और औषधीय गुण हैं और भारत में हज़ारों सालों से इसकी पूजा की जाती है। यहां तक कि संक्रमण का इलाज करने के लिए तुलसी से बढि़या कोई भी जड़ी बूटी नहीं है। हिन्दुओं का विश्वास है कि होली बेसिल एक पवित्र पौधा है। तुलसी को सभी पौधो में से पवित्र माना जाता है। तुलसी में दुनिया के सबसे बढि़या एंटी-आक्सीडेंट, एंटी-इंफ्लेमेटरी, एंटी-वायरल, एंटी-एलर्जिक और एंटी-डीसिज़ गुण हैं। तुलसी 200 बीमारियों में लाभदायक है जैसे:- फ्लू, स्वाइन फ्लू, डेंगू, बुखार, खाँसी, जुकाम, जोड़ों के दर्द, ब्लॅड प्रेशर, मोटापा, शूगर, एलर्जी हैपेटाइटिस, पेशाब सम्बन्धी समस्या, वात, नकसीर, फेफड़ों में सूजन, अल्सर, तनाव, वीर्य की कमी, थकान, भूख में कमी, उल्टी आदि। जुकाम, छींके, सिरदर्द, बुखार, दमा इत्यादि में श्री तुलसी की दो बूँदे शहद में मिलाकर देने से बहुत लाभ होता है। कैंसर में श्री तुलसी की दो बूंदे एक गिलास छाछ के साथ सवेरे शाम पिलाएं। भोजन में केवल दूध या दही का सेवन कराएं। श्री तुलसी का रस दाद, खुजली, एक्जि़मा इत्यादि चर्म रोगों में तथा घावों को भरने व घावों की सफाई करने में एक बेहतरीन औषधि है। आग से जलने व किसी जहरीले कीड़े के काटने पर श्री तुलसी को लगाने से विशेष राहत मिलती है। सिर दर्द, बाल झड़ना, बाल पकना व सिकरी - श्री तुलसी की 8-10 बूँदें 10 मि.ली. एलो जैल के साथ मिलाकर सिर, माथे, कनपटियों पर एवं बालों की जड़ो में मालिश करें। कान का दर्द एवं कान बहना: श्री तुलसी की एक-एक बूँद हल्का सा गरम करके कान में टपकायें। दाँत में दर्द, कीड़ा लगना व खून आना: श्री तुलसी की 8-10 बूँदें पानी में डालकर कुल्ला करना चाहिये। मुँह की दुर्गन्ध तुरन्त दूर करने के लिए श्री तुलसी की 1-2 बूँदें मुँह में डाल लें। गले में दर्द, गले व मुँह में छाले, आवाज बैठ जाना: श्री तुलसी की 8-10 बूँदें गरम पानी में डालकर गरारे करें। श्री तुलसी 8-10 बूँदें बाडी आयल के साथ मिलाकर शरीर पर मलकर रात्रि में सोयें, मच्छर नहीं काटेंगे। कूलर के पानी में 8-10 बूँदें श्री तुलसी की डालने से सारा घर विषाणु व रोगाणु मुक्त हो जाता है तथा मक्खी-मच्छर भी उस घर से भाग जाते हैं। जुऐं और लीखें: श्री तुलसी और नींबू का रस समान मात्रा में मिलाकर सिर के बालों में अच्छी तरह से लगायें। 3-4 घंटे तक लगा रहने दें और फिर सिर धोयें अथवा रात्रि को लगाकर सुबह सिर धोयें। जुऐं व लीखें मर जायेंगी। श्री तुलसी हृदय के लिए हितकारी है। इसके नियमित उपयोग से कोलैस्ट्रोल का स्तर कम होने लगता है, हार्ट-अटैक और स्ट्रोक से रोकथाम होती है। श्री तुलसी एवं रूपायन तेल की 2-2 बूँदें स्किन केयर जैल में मिलाकर चेहरे पर सुबह व रात को सोते समय लगाने पर त्वचा सुंदर हो जाती है तथा चेहरे से प्रत्येक प्रकार के धब्बे, छाईयां, कील- मुहांसें व झुर्रियां नष्ट हो जाती हैं। उपयोग: श्री तुलसी की 1 बूँद एक गिलास पानी या चाय में डाल कर इस्तेमाल करें। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को प्रतिदिन श्री तुलसी की 4-5 बूँदें अवश्य सेवन करनी चाहियें। नोट: श्री तुलसी का सेवन दूध में डाल कर नहीं करना चाहिए और न ही तुलसी के सेवन के बाद दूध पीना चाहिए या चिकित्सक के निर्देश अनुसार सेवन करें।
