Sentence Game

Set up the game

1.      Use the side of the board with picture and words on the square

2.      The color counters should be placed where everyone can reach them

3.      Place the word tiles in such a way that they face down

4.      Each player draws 7 words tiles from the pool and places them face up in front of him or her so everyone can see them

5.      Pick a player to go first. The first player doesn’t have an advantage, so it doesn’t matter who goes first. The play passes to left player

Aim: To make the most points by matching the tiles to words on the board in order to form complete sentences

How to play:

1.      If you are first player, pick two of your 7 tiles and cover any two matching words on the board. Capitalize letters and punctuations of the word must match exactly.

2.      You then draw the new tiles from the pool so that you have 7 tiles again

3.      Each player in turns pick two of his or her first tiles and places them on the words and then draw two tiles from the pool to end the turn

4.      As the word in each sentence is covered, you try to be the one to put down the tile that completes the sentence and earn a point from the point rating table. Since the tiles can be placed in any order in sentence, it is possible to complete the sentence with a word that fits in the beginning, middle or end of the sentence.

5.      You can not pass your turn and must play 2 tiles in every turn. There must always be 7 tiles in front of you as long as there are enough tiles in the pool

6.      Where there are no more tiles left in the pool to draw the play continues till all tiles left with the players are placed on the board

To win: when all tiles have been placed on the board, the player with the most points wins
