Technology Uncorked Infrared Transmitter Receiver Module for Obstacle Detection

IR Transmitter Receiver Module provides driver circuitry for Infrared Transmission & detector circuitry for Infrared Reception on a single module. IR LED transmits Infrared light when turned ON. The light pulse is reflected back by an obstacle and sensed by a photo-diode mounted on the module. The weak signal detected is amplified and filtered for noise and made available at the output of the module. An on-board potentiomter controls the detection range of the module. This module can be directly interfaced to GPIO ports of any microcontroller.
