Appoints Harneet Singh as Head Marketing and Babu Vittal as Head HR
New Delhi, February 28, 2017: ShopClues, India’s first and largest managed marketplace announces hiring of top talent in leadership ranks in its marketing and HR division. It has appointed Harneet Singh as Vice President & Head Marketing and Babu Vittal as Head HR.
Speaking on the new hires, Radhika Aggarwal, Co-founder and CBO, Shopclues said “We are most pleased to welcome both Harneet and Babu on board. Harneet joins Shopclues after his last role as Chief Business Officer at Zopper, a hyperlocal marketplace for electronics. Harneet has earlier worked with Domino’s Pizza India as Senior Vice President – Marketing, where he was overseeing Brand Marketing, E-Commerce, New Product Development, PR and Digital marketing divisions. At ShopClues, Harneet will oversee Marketing strategy and Brand building across channels covering online, offline, mobile, digital and strategic alliance partnerships. Other focus areas would be media planning, rolling out campaigns in offline and online channels and activities directed at customer engagement/retention and acquisition. Harneet is an alumni from the Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai where he did his Masters in Management Studies and prior to that he completed his Engineering.

Another appointment is of Babu Vittal as the Head of Human Resources, late 2016. Proving his mettle in Human Resource Management, Babu has successfully spearheaded complex operations including acquisition, merger, and transition of organizations as well as teams and is widely hailed for his strategic thinking, interpersonal skills and rich individual expertise in the industry, with a proven track record of over 20 years. Babu is a certified design thinker from Stanford University, alumni of XLRI Jamshedpur, and holds an engineering degree from the University of Madras. In June 2013, Babu joined Flipkart to head HR for its retail division, and later spearheaded the centres of excellence in Flipkart for compensation & benefits, performance management and organization design, as Senior Director – HR. Moving on, he also served Reliance Communications as its Head HR in 2015 before joining ShopClues in 2016.
