About Rudraksha :-

Rudraksha : in Sanskrit, the word Rudraksha consists  with word of  'RUDRA' and 'AKSHA' in which Rudra denotes to Lord Shiva and Aksha refers to tear. It is believed that when Lord Shiva was in deep meditation, a drop of tear fell of his eyes which grew into the divine fruit, that in Rudraksha. It is also said that one who wear this divine fruit achieves eternal blessing and is deemed closet to Lord Shiva himself. Rudraksha is mainly found in Nepal, Java Sumatra Island and India and found one facet (mukhi) to twenty one facet (mukhi) and a unique kind is called GAURI-SHANKAR and GANESH RUDRAKSHA

About five facet (mukhi) Rudraksha :-

Five facet (mukhi) Rudraksha is symbolic to the Lord Shiva (Lord Pashupatinath). It is blessed by the five forms of Lord Shiva -- Saddyojat, Tatpurush, Aghor, Vamdev and Isshan. It is the most widely available rudraksha. Wearing panch mukhi rudraksha means instrumental in attaining a long and peaceful life. It is highly  effeftive kind. Wearing a garland of small beads of panch mukhi or drinking water in which panch mukhi is soaked are deemed highly effective for curing.Heart diseases, BP or Mental imbalance.

Japa with Rudraksha mala yields many good results on human body and mind. When the japam is being performed with Rudraksha mala keeping the beads little pressed and pushed, a type of acupressure is being done on the acupressure points in the thumb and middle finger. This improves the blood circulation at eyes, mental nerves, pituitary and pineal and it prevents the cold and asthma. An extra bead known as “MERU”- or “SADYOTHAMA BIJA”  attached on the outside of the circuit chain to indicate from where the japa mala should be reserved as the 108 count has been reached, and also indicate the completion.

Rudraksha japa mala is very important for Gayathri japam, Sandhyavandhanam, etc. Morning  japam should be completed before 10a.m in which japa mala should be at the level of Nabhi (Umblicus). Afternoon japam should be performed between 12.00 noon and 2.30 p.m wherein japa mala should be at the level of nose point. Thus it is clearly indicate by performance of the said japa vidhi (method) (Rudraksha japam) three times a day - will protect from stomach, chest, and breathing diseases.
