How to use :
1) Wash the tumbler thoroughly. (do not use any kind of detergents. simply wash in running tap water).
2) Pour drinking water (Approx.80-100 ml) in Herbal Wooden Tumbler at night. After 8-10 hours the water will turn brown in color. Consume this colored water 30 minutes before breakfast. Once again pour drinking water in Herbal Wood Glass and consume it 30 minutes before dinner.
3) Repeat the use of Herbal Wooden Glass continuously for 30 days and when the color of water stops changing, scratch the inside of the glass carefully without hurting yourself and use again for 7-15 days.

Vijaysar is a big tree whose bark is very useful for diabetes. The bark of the tree is made into a wooden glass and the glass is termed as "The miracle cure for diabetes". Pterocarpus marsupium, also known as Indian kino is a large tree from the Leguminosae family. It grows in the deciduous forests in central and peninsular India and Sri Lanka. The bark and heartwood of the tree has been used historically in the treatment of diabetes. Several potentially anti-diabetic chemicals including epicatechin, marsupin, pterostilbene and protosupin have been identified in Pterocarpus marsupium.

Antidiabetic and antilipemic effects:
In experimentally induced diabetes in rats, 8 days of daily treatment with P. marsupium alcoholic extract was shown to reverse diabetes and to correct high cholesterol and lipids secondary to diabetes. Similar effects on blood glucose and serum lipids were seen in another rat model of diabetes. In addition, this study showed an increase in insulin secretion during the 30-day treatment with P. marsupium water extract. In yet another study, impaired glycogen synthesis in the liver secondary to diabetes was improved after 30 days of treatment suggesting that Pterocarpus marsupium modulated tissue glucose utilization in insulin-dependent tissues and could serve as one possible mechanism of its antidiabetic activity. In cultured skeletal muscles in vitro, Pterocarpus marsupium extract was shown to improve glucose transport, one of the pathological changes in diabetes. In a chronic model of diabetes, during the 115 day study period, Pterocarpus marsupium extract was shown to slow the development, progression and severity of cataract, a common complication of chronic diabetes.
Antiinflammatory and antioxidant effects:
In human peripheral blood, Pterocarpus marsupium extract was shown to decrease prostaglandin E2 levels possibly through inhibition of the inflammatory mediator cyclooxygenase.

For the first time this disease has been diagnosed as Madhumeha in Charaka (2000 B.C.) an authentic treatise of Indian Medicine. A Biogenic approach as a trace and test of this disease by the use of ants and flies over urine and body have been narrated in this literature. It is a matter of great attraction that in Charaka this disease has been Included as one of the genetic disorders in which Beejdosh means abnormalities in sperms and ova of parents has been mentioned. Further, over eating of Rich diet, which contains much of Madhur (Sugar), snigdha (Fatty substances) and lack of exercise and Physical work have been described as etiological factors. Not only this malnourished and hard labour, mental strain, worry, fear are also referred as causative factors of this disease.
Clinically Diabetes were further studied and grouped into three such as;
- Sthoola and Balwan - (Obese and strong) mean maturity. Onset of Diabetics. - They would be cured.
- Krisha and Paridurbal - Emaciated and weak. They would be palliable.
- Jatah madhumeha - Born and Child diabetics. They were incurable.
