Ylang Ylang essential oil is derived from the star-shaped flowers of the tropical Ylang Ylang tree and is used extensively in making perfumes and in aromatherapy. In aromatherapy, Ylang Ylang is used to promote a positive outlook. Ylang Ylang is frequently used in luxurious hair and skin products for its scent and nourishing and protective properties. This highly fragrant Ylang Ylang essential oil is procured from the extraction of flowers of ylang-ylang cananga tree by using the steam distillation method. This tree is known as perfume tree due to its highly fragrant flowers. It is said to be native to China and nearby places, and especially cultivated for the perfume industry. Due to its highly refreshing and reviving aroma, it is widely used for the aromatherapy treatment all over the world.
