Description:- , About The Author:- Paritosh Chandra Dutta completed his graduation with honours in Statistics from Darrang College, Tezpur (Assam) and did both his M.Sc. Statistics and Ph.D. in Statistics, from Gauhati University, Guwahati (Assam). He has also earned B.Mus from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, Lucknow. Dr. Dutta has about 40 research papers to his credit published in Books and reputed Indian Journals on different issues of National as well as regional importance. The author has also more than 15 Research Articles published in various magazines, Newspapers etc. excluding a few number of Working papers. By virtue of his merit and perseverance, Dr. Dutta has so far completed UGC Sponsored three Minor Research Projects: (i) Certain Aspects of Consumer Behaviour in Assam An Empirical Study (ii) Econometric Study of Socio-Economic and Demographic Problems for Eco- Development of Barak Valley of Assam, and (iii) A Study on the Impact of Socio Economic Development in North East India with Special Reference to the Problems of Population Growth and Urbanisation on Environment, Presently he has been rendering his service as a selection grade lecturer and Head in Statistics in Srikishan Sarda College, Hailakandi, Assam. Dr. Dutta also rendered his service as an Associate NCC Officer.Ram Krishna Mandal, was born in a remote village of West Bengal. Dr. Mandal completed his graduation with honours in Economics from Balurghat College, Balurghat (West Bengal) and did his M. A. in Economics with Distinction, M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Economics, BLIS and B.Ed. from the North Bengal University, Darjeeling (West Bengal). Dr. Mandal has to his credit 50 published research papers on different issues of National as well as regional importance. By virtue of his merit and perseverance, Dr. Mandal has so far produced five books: (i) Microeconomic Theory (Atlantic Publishers, New Delhi) (ii) Arunachal Economy: Socio-Economic Transformation (Omsons Publishers, New Delhi) (iii) Money, Income and Rational Expectations (Mittal Publications, New Delhi) (iv) Macro-Economic Theory (Atlantic Publishers, New Delhi) and (v) Value Added Tax in North-East India. He has three UGC sponsored research projects in his credit. He is also a Post Doctoral Research Awardee UGC Fellow. He has been awarded as the Writer of the Year 2007 from Research Centre for Social Sciences, Mumbai. About The Book:- This Book Consists Of Twenty One Papers And Divided Into Five Sections: Socio-Economic Development, Economic Disparity, Demographic Profile, Environmental Degradation And Agricultural Scenario.
