New Delhi, September, 2015: India’s first and the largest managed marketplace ShopClues recently highlighted the festive shopping trends of Indian buyers in its latest monthly report. Based on data collated from ShopClues’ monthly transactions, the trend showed a 26 percent increase in the month-on-month growth in August, which is only set to rise ahead of the busy festive season.
Lifestyle categories, particularly Fashion and Footwear, saw an impressive MoM growth of 40 percent and looked set to dominate the shopping behaviour of the Indian consumer owing to the improved selection and assortment of new brands. Home & Kitchen, which recorded a growth of 25% in August, is also expected to be a category which will record high sales. The trends indicate metropolitan cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore to feature heavily in the footfall across ShopClues’ web and app platforms in the coming months.
