The HTC Desire 626G Plus is a big 5-inch midrange phablet with the main selling point being the octa-core processor. However, if you take that out, then you are left with pretty ordinary features which is disappointing in light of its price.

The HTC Desire 626G Plus sports a 5-inch IPS LCD multi touch display with a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 294ppi. It has a waistline of 8.1mm and tips the scale at 138g. Just like other HTC smartphones, it comes with dual stereo speakers on the front for quality multimedia experience.

CPU and Platform

Under the hood, the HTC Desire 626G Plus is loaded with a 1.7GHz octa-core processor which is undoubtedly the chief attraction of the device. Paired with a 1GB DDR3 RAM, it ensures powerful and seamless performance. It ships with HTC Sense UI based on Android v4.4 KitKat OS which is a bit disappointing considering the flurry of smartphones with the latest Lollipop OS.

Camera and Storage

The HTC Desire 626G Plus is armed with an excellent 13MP autofocus camera at the back which supports BSI sensor, LED flash, touch to focus, f/2.2 aperture, geo-tagging, face detection and HDR and can shoot full HD movies at 30fps. At the front, there is a 5MP snapper which can be used for capturing selfies and enjoying video calls. It features an inbuilt memory of 8GB which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD slot.

Battery and Connectivity

The HTC Desire 626G Plus keeps the show running for a fair period of time without any interaction with a 2,000mAh Li-Po battery which is non user removable. On the connectivity front, it is loaded with regular options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, USB port and GPS.
