Firmware update scheduled at the end of January 2014 will power up the camera with extra features to further enhance shooting comfort:

Auto HDR expands the dynamic range of images from darkest shadows to brightest highlights. DRO similarly adds details to the highlights and shadows, and can be used when photographing moving subjects.

Multi-aspect still-image recording:

Shooting flexibility even extends to aspect ratios. Depending on your scene and intended purpose, you can capture still images in your choice of the 3:2, 4:3, 16:9 or 1:1 aspect ratio.
