The encouragement that readers gave for “Bharathathile Mahakshetrangal” published earlier motivated to venture on the current project. This concise work will serve as a mini encyclopaedia giving history and legend associated with the temples, religious practices and rituals, annual celebrations, festivals and unknown wonders. Shri Perinad Sadanandan Pillai’s several years of travel culminated in the end product, the original work in Malayalam. He personally visited thousands of temples in India, researched on the legendary stories and assessed them for fruition of his dream project. The writer of temple histories, Shri Perinad Sadanandan Pillai is retired Headmaster, who had served in Mampuzha School, Kollam district. Presently he is the chairman of the M.K.K. Nair Smaraka Samskarika Kendram Pakalkuri, Thiruvananthapuram. He had got Pala Trust award in 1992 for his work, “Kuttikalude Nethaji” and Teachers Cultural & Literary Award in 1999 for his work, “Jaihind" and Attukal Bhagavathy temple Trust Krishnayana Award in 2014 Balakrishna Ashramam Mahalekshmi Temple Trust Award in in 2015 for his work Bharathathile Mahakshethrangal.
